INCO INDUSTRY manufactures and sells thermo layered wood in a variety of hard and soft wood (e.g., pine, ash, sycamore, fir-tree, spruce, etc.) and in various sizes, in quantities that can satisfy all kinds of demands.
Treated for a longer life
The heat treating process conveys the wood properties to withstand any climate such as the necessary resistance to weather conditions, which it does not intrinsically have. Thus, wood becomes optimal for use in the open air.
Upgrading wood by heat treatment is a method known for thousands of years. For instance, in China, heat treated wood used for kitchen utensils or the wood used to build Viking ships became more resistant. The process does not involve chemical substances. It exclusively induces heat, steam, and water.
Heat treatment generates diverse reactions inside the wood. To be precise, this process alters the chemical structure of the heat treated wood, which reacts less than in its initial state to the ambient humidity or lack thereof. Hence, the heat treatment gives wood higher stability of shape, it significantly reduces the wood behaviour to swelling and shrinkage, and the wood tends less to develop cracks.
Owing to its new qualities, the heat treated wood becomes more resistant on the long term to fungi attack. Besides the other physical qualities, by heat treatment, the wood alters its aspect, its colour becomes homogenous, similar to roasted coffee grains, according to temperature intensity, but it does not lose the fibre structure.
The heat treating process implies that the wood undergoes temperatures of up to 250ºC, in a space built of stainless steel, without oxygen, in the presence of water vapours.
Procesul de termotratare presupune supunerea lemnului la temperaturi ridicate de pana la 250ºC, intr-un spatiu construit din inox, fara oxigen in prezenta vaporilor de apa.
